Kendall/MIT Open Space Guidelines
You’re welcome to:
Enjoy the space - the area and events are open to the public.
Share the space - and observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM.
Use the public restrooms - found inside the MIT Welcome Center during open hours.
Use the free Wi-Fi - look for “MIT Guest.”
Bring your dog - please keep on leash, off the grass, and clean up pet waste.
Gather informally - if you have a larger group (over 20 people) or a set up that involves equipment, additional furniture, or amplification, events must be coordinated with the MIT Open Space Programming staff (contact us at openspace@mit.edu). In most cases, events in this space must be free and open to the public.
Please don’t:
Smoke within 25’ of any building.
Use drugs or consume alcohol.
Please don’t climb the trees - we’re helping them grow big and strong!
If you observe anything out of the ordinary or something that is a safety concern, please contact security personnel at (617) 849-7801. For all emergencies please call MIT Police at (617) 253-1212 or call 911.
